How to build a wood chicken run. Before starting to build your chicken coop you should prepare a list of all the tools required. This is slightly more difficult to build than the simple coop but it will allow your chickens more space as well as the option of being outside. Because my coop is inside the barn the run is attached to the side of the barn.

This would provide the chickens a place to hang out when its raining or snowing and somewhere to put their feed and dust bath. Space posts about every six feet. Are your chickens cooped up but you want to let them run outside.
